This is the 11th of 31 blog posts that I am going to write in 31 days.
I did a little research before I started writing today about some of my worst habits to see what other people may have written about it and I found a list of 50 bad habits we just can’t give up and there are a few on this list that I have already quit and a few more that I have been trying to work on for a while now.
The number one item on the list, smoking, was my worst habit that I am happy to say I have quit almost 2 years ago! I haven’t been perfect in not smoking in those two years as I have an occasional cigar and have had 2 or 3 cigarettes when out at the bar but I still consider this to be a major accomplishment!
The fifth item on the list is coffee. As I write this I am enjoying a hot cup of joe. I usually don’t think of this as a bad habit but I there are times when I do drink too much coffee and it makes me not feel good. On a positive note though I can go days, if not longer without coffee and it really doesn’t bother me.
There are a number of other bad habits on the list that I considered like alcohol, fast food and fizzy drinks but when it comes right down to it the one item on this list that is my worst habit it has to be sugar. I can give up all the other things on this list without much trepidation but if you were to ask me to give up sugar for any extended amount of time then I think I might go a bit nuts! If I went cold turkey I have a sneaking suspicion that I may be very unpleasant until my body adjusts. Not sure how long that would take but I would hope it would be too long or my wife might not be to happy.
